Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha’s T20 struggles force him to consider quitting the format

Pakistan’s Twenty20 International captain Salman Ali Agha, who has been leading Karachi Kings in the ongoing Pakistan Super League 2026 (PSL 2026), is contemplating a break from the format due to his persistent batting struggles. The upcoming ICC World Cup 2027, scheduled for next year, and the ICC World Test Championship cycle are currently Agha’s primary focuses. He has expressed his desire to concentrate on these events without the added pressure of the T20 format. When questioned by reporters in PSL 2026, as quoted by the Press Trust of India (PTI), Agha revealed that he is considering a hiatus from T20 cricket to prioritize his mental freshness and workload management.
