Her ability to perform under pressure was best exemplified during the 2017 World Cup, where she was a key contributor in the final against India at Lord’s. Beyond the international stage, Wilson has been a stalwart of the domestic game, representing prestigious sides including Western Storm, Sunrisers, Middlesex, and international T20 franchises such as the Hobart Hurricanes and Sydney Thunder.
However, Wilson’s transition into coaching is not a sudden pivot. For the past five to six years, she has balanced her playing duties with coaching responsibilities. Having represented Gloucestershire in the 2022 and 2023 Vitality Women’s County T20 competitions, she has already spent time nurturing the next generation through the county’s Girls Emerging Players Programme. Her consultancy work with the first team during the 2025 season provided a perfect bridge to her new, full-time leadership role.
