Mumbai Cricket Association Pioneers Player Contracts in Indian Domestic Cricket

In a bold and transformative step, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has officially launched a contract system for domestic players—making it the first state cricket association in India to do so. • Grade B: Annual compensation between INR 8 lakh and 12 lakh
• Grade C: Fixed annual contract of INR 8 lakh

In addition to base retainers, players will continue to earn match fees, daily allowances, and performance-based incentives as outlined under existing MCA policies. This layered compensation model ensures that standout performances are consistently rewarded.
