Day two of the Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) belonged to the batters, as several players put in strong performances. Akbar Ali and Pritom Kumar both reached centuries for North Zone. However, despite getting close, Abu Hider Rony and Ashiqur Rahman Shibli missed out on their hundreds.

At the Sylhet Academy Ground, South Zone had been bowled out for 314 on the first day. North Zone, who started day two without losing a wicket, ended the day strongly at 379 for 6.

They lost their first wicket early at 28, and by the time they reached 53, they had already lost three wickets. But then came a brilliant fightback. Akbar Ali and Pritom Kumar built a massive 233-run partnership for the fourth wicket, turning the game around. Akbar scored 121 runs off 158 balls, hitting 15 fours and 2 sixes before being dismissed by Samiun Bashir.
