BCB Announces Ticket Refunds After Washed-Out Bangladesh vs New Zealand T20I
The second T20I between Bangladesh and New Zealand was scheduled to take place at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Chattogram. The match was supposed to begin at 2 PM, but rain delayed the start. In the end, the rain never stopped enough for play, and the match was abandoned.
Although no cricket was possible, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) brought some good news for supporters. The board announced that fans who bought their tickets online will receive full refunds. BCB confirmed the decision through an official press release.

The final cut-off time to begin at least a five-over match was 4:50 PM. Since conditions did not improve by then, officials were forced to call off the match.
Chattogram had already seen heavy rain the previous day. Showers eased later in the evening, and the morning looked better, but around noon another spell of strong rain arrived and continued to affect the venue.
Series Update
New Zealand are touring Bangladesh for a six-match white-ball series featuring three ODIs and three T20Is. They lost the ODI series 2-1 after winning the opening match but then suffering back-to-back defeats. The visitors also lost the first T20I, leaving Bangladesh ahead 1-0 in the T20I series.
The third and final T20I will now take place on May 2 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. Bangladesh still lead the series 1-0 and will hope to finish strongly in Dhaka.
