The controversy started when an old photo of Yuzvendra Chahal and Taniya Chatterjee, Indian cricketer and actress respectively, began circulating on the internet. The image showed them in an awkward hug that many interpreted as more than a friendly gesture. Chahal took to Twitter to deny any wrongdoings, but it was too late – the damage had already been done.

While Punjab Kings’ players remained tight-lipped about the issue, their star spinner, Arshdeep Singh, decided to address the elephant in the room – and boy, did he make sure everyone took notice! In a veiled attack on Chahal, Arshdeep Singh captioned an image of Chahal with the word
