Riyan Parag unhappy with RR’s performance despite win vs LSG in IPL 2026

Riyan Parag led his side to a commanding position as they have now secured five wins in the competition, advancing to the second spot in the IPL points table.
The Rajasthan Royals batters struggled at the start of the innings, while the middle order encountered difficulties at the same time.
Ravindra Jadeja’s 43 extashelped them surpass the 150-run mark and post a target of 160 runs, with Shubham Dubey also contributing significantly with the bat.
However, throughout the innings, they failed to connect properly with the bat and kept losing wickets.
While the LSG pacers played a significant role with the ball, Mayank Yadav remained a weak link in that attack, giving away 56 runs in his quota of 4 overs.
In the middle-overs, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravi Bishnoi picked wickets, while Brijesh Sharma and Jofra Archer returned to pick wickets in the death overs.
Riyan Parag claimed in his post-match interview that he is unhappy with their performance despite the win.
He stated, “Very pleased. Firstly, I feel we were really short with the bat. The way the wicket was playing when me and Hetty were batting, I think we’ve got to be better. I thought, honestly, even with the situation we had, we were close to getting 180, and that would have been a really good score because I knew it was going to be tough to chase,” he said.
Their bowlers helped them to defend a low total, securing a commanding victory.
The Rajasthan Royals will now advance to the second position in the points table, with 10 points in their tally.
After two consecutive losses, they have finally regained momentum with a fifth comeback win in the tournament.
