CPL 2026: A New Season of Excitement
The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) has announced that it will stage fixtures at Arnos Vale in St Vincent and the Grenadines for the first time this year, while confirming an August 7 start date.
CPL fixtures will be played in a record-equalling eight nations this year, with fixtures in Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, and Trinidad and Tobago. Expanding into new territories is an important part of our vision, Pete Russell, the league’s chief executive, said in a press release.
Arnos Vale: A Fantastic Venue
Arnos Vale has hosted 36 men’s internationals, five matches at the 2024 T20 World Cup which were dominated by spin. Russell said it was a fantastic venue with a proud cricket history and added: We know the fans in St Vincent and the Grenadines are passionate about the game, and we can’t wait to experience the energy and atmosphere they will bring.
The CPL will run from August 7 until September 20 this year and will include a seventh franchise for the first time, with Jamaica Kingsmen joining the league. It will overlap with the men’s Hundred in England, a clash which will affect Nicholas Pooran and Sherfane Rutherford’s availability for the final stages of MI London’s season.
CPL Fixtures at Arnos Vale
Five teams will be involved in the three confirmed fixtures at Arnos Vale. The CPL has not yet released a full fixture list, though the four play-off matches (eliminator, two qualifiers, and the final) will be staged at Kensington Oval in Barbados from September 16-20.
