IPL 2026 Orange and Purple Cap Updates
The IPL 2026 Orange and Purple Cap tables have seen significant changes, with new leaders emerging after Saturday’s double-header. Heinrich Klaasen has snatched back the Orange Cap, while Anshul Kamboj has taken the Purple Cap.
Orange Cap Leaderboard
Shubman Gill went past Virat Kohli on Friday night to take the Orange Cap, but Klaasen stepped up and won it back after scoring 59 in 39 balls as Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) beat Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by ten runs in Hyderabad.
Klaasen currently has 283 runs for the season, some way ahead of Gill, who has 251 – from two fewer innings – while Kohli is at No. 3 with 247. Just behind Kohli is his captain at Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Rajat Patidar, who had a rare failure against Delhi Capitals (DC), but still has 230 runs.
- Ishan Kishan of SRH
- The Punjab Kings (PBKS) duo of Prabhsimran Singh and Shreyas Iyer
- RCB’s Phil Salt
- CSK’s Ayush Mhatre
- Jos Buttler of Gujarat Titans (GT)
- Vaibhav Sooryavanshi of Rajasthan Royals (RR)
are the others to have gotten into the 200s.
Purple Cap Leaderboard
And Prasidh Krishna doesn’t have the Purple Cap at the moment either. That has gone to Anshul Kamboj after the CSK quick put on a masterclass in around-the-wicket bowling against SRH on Saturday, picking up 3 for 22. Kamboj currently has 13 wickets from four bowling innings.
GT’s Krishna is at No. 2 with 11 wickets from five games, and is followed by Bhuvneshwar Kumar, the RCB seamer also picking up three wickets on Saturday to get to ten wickets for the season.
