Pakistan Squad Announced for Bangladesh Tour with 4 Uncapped Players

Pakistan have announced their squad for the upcoming Bangladesh tour, with Shan Masood set to continue leading the Test side. The squad also includes four new faces: Abdullah Fazal, Amad Butt, Azan Awais, and Muhammad Ghazi Ghori.

The team is scheduled to depart for Bangladesh on May 2 and arrive on May 3. However, players involved in the Pakistan Super League final will join the squad later, as the final is also scheduled for May 3.

New Coaching Setup

There’s also a new coaching setup for this tour, with former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed beginning his journey as the Test head coach. He will be joined by Asad Shafiq as batting coach and Umar Gul as bowling coach.

After finishing their ongoing series against New Zealand, Bangladesh will quickly shift focus to this Test series. Pakistan will arrive on May 3, with the first Test set to begin on May 8 in Mirpur. The second Test will be played in Sylhet from May 16. Both matches are part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025–27.

Upcoming Matches

Following this series, Bangladesh will host Australia national cricket team in June for three ODIs and three T20Is, with the ODI matches scheduled for June 9, 11, and 14 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
